From Miravet to Benifallet ( 2 h 10’)

If this is one of the most touristic routes, there should be a reason for it.

In fact, watching over the river from the C-12 road, is where lots of people decide that this river is more than a landscape and the good thing is the navigation on it. If the river impresses you from the mountain, just imagine how impressed would be about mountains from the river. It's an amazing sensation. Besaculs or Penjats are the name of its mountains. It would be a pity if you don't have the camera with you.

Excepting for the Meander in Miravet, this route has no technique complication and becomes a nice experience, especially if you come with a high level flow, because you are not going to paddle so much.

So it would be better during autumm or spring and also we recommend it during morning to help having the wind blowing against us.

Some nice surprises to highlight, are coming inside an old arabic moulin, also knowing the Cataula and Nap Islands. This is just reaching the Benifallet bridge (Pont del Llaguter). This is dedicated to the ancient times where people of this area, surfed down this river using "llaguts" (wood long boats). This boats were pushed up the current walking up the shore with a string, so that this path is called string path or “Camí de Sirga”.

If you want a great picture including Miravet Castle, the best one will be paddling at this tour.
