From Tortosa to Amposta
Between capitals
We will find a calm Ebro, at a stage where you need a good physical shape to be comfortable at the canoe. We offer other routes with better sceneries and more river current, but the navigation between the Catalan Ebro capitals has a symbolic feeling.

If you are not making the whole Catalan Ebro Descent or a similar feat, we rarely recommend this route, because of its proximity to "civilization," yet has elements worth noting, for example the big arrival in Amposta with its hanging restored bridges In fact, just at the starting point, we highlight another bridge (one of the 4 we will cross down today): Millennium Bridge. It reminds us, with this name, the long history of Tortosa. As an historical element, we will find, though now no longer visible from the river due to high vegetation, the Carrova. They are the remains of medieval towers guarding the entrance of the Ebro. Only a point where you need to be aware that it is the mouth of the Left Ebro Channel, just before the railway bridge. Sometimes this Channel can download hard. What can we see from our canoe ?
