Green Way at the Terra Alta

Soft cycling in the former railway wich linked Alcañiz and Tortosa is the main option in active tourism in this county: completely in soft way down; lovely villages; Canaletes river; wine and gastronomy and the most important in the long and dark tunnels, makes it a unique activity.

We suggest you do the bike ride mountain bike downhill in the direction and at the end, you return to your vehicle. The absence of light in many of the tunnels, has been one of the attractions of this Way: flashlight or headlamp are required!

Depending on your interests, skills and philosophy of business, you can choose the starting points (Arnes, Horta de Sant Joan or Bot meanly) and of course, the arrival point (Pinell de Brai, Benifallet, Xerta or even Tortosa).

Green Way offers many attractions that you can take one hour and a half or even two days.
In fact, if you go with young children, Rogles inform you about the option of spending 3 days and make the complete relaxed from Alcañiz .

• Horta de Sant Joan: the main village we will cross. Picasso Museum (he was at this village some years)
• Bot: the village nearest to the Green Way.

• Fontcalda. warm water pump; bar; restaurant in the nature near to the Canaletes river. Church.
• Pinell de Brai: the village and the "Wine Cathedral".
