A great ferrata at the Priorat
It is undoubtedly the best ferrata nearby Tarragona. Its great attraction is its 16 meters long tibetan bridge. Although there is another shorter one. This ferrata is inside the Natural Park of Monsant.
From its restoration in 2015, it is also one of the safest ferratas.
Perhaps it is not a the best one for those with vertigo and if you are beginners with no experience in mountaineering, perhaps best start in another ferrata, like in Tivissa or Montblanc. Anyway, many friends of us started here as a beginner.
The approach is about 45 minutes and the return on 1h15 ‘that allows you to enjoy the popular “graus” (narrow and vertical paths to the top of the hill “Serra Major”) of the Montsant; so that you probably come back and think about a trekking discovery tour.
We emphasize the approach is very nice but also demanding. Also the spectacular “needle” prior to the tibetan bridge as spectacular point; and the vertical wall at the end will make us enjoy this sport because of its location.
Great views of the South Priorat and its wineyards.
